The Gift of Nourishment

Living in North County San Diego delivers daily gifts. The beautiful climate, lush landscape, breathtaking beaches. We are all fortunate to share this geography, yet some of our community members have greater needs. There is a growing number of homeless families in San Diego County who are struggling to feed their children. What if this one need could be found in our very own backyards...maybe even on the ground?

In the spirit of family, community and altruism, we started The Olivenhain Citrus Project. If you have fruit trees that give more than you can use, please consider donating. No donation is too small or too large. We are currently collecting in Encinitas, Carlsbad and Rancho Santa Fe. There are two pickup options:

1. Schedule a pickup date (any Wednesday - we will pick up between 9:00am - 5:00pm), leave the bagged fruit on your door then voilà...an underprivileged family gets to enjoy your generous gift!

2. E-mail us and we will schedule a convenient time for our volunteers to gently pick the quantity you specify. We are partnered with Harvest CROPS (A 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization) and can therefor provide volunteer insurance and receipts for donors.

Don't have fruit to donate but still want to help?

We are in need of harvesting poles, buckets and a trailer. Please consider donating or contributing to Harvest CROPS so we can fulfill our joint mission!
